Edgar Guedry, LCSW-BACS, ACSW, CHPCA, ACHP-SW, of Prairieville, LA, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator who has worked exclusively in hospice and home health for well over 20 years. Inspired by his experience caring for close relatives with life-limiting conditions, Edgar dedicated himself to insuring that others in similar situations receive the highest quality of care and comprehensive support needed in their remaining days.
Edgar has authored and co-authored numerous profession publications including: "The Clinician’s Handbook: A Practical Guide for Care Planning", "Home Health Manual for Social Work", "Grief, Loss and Hope", and "Treasured Moments," and has provided hundreds of presentations to national, state and local groups on end-of-life related topics. He served on the Governor's Task Force for Hospice on regulations and rules for hospice care and is President of the Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. He is also a member of the NHPCO Educational Planning Committee. Edgar was the recepient of the 1998 NASW-LA Dorothy Schenthal Leadership Award for outstanding leadership.
