Most patients facing a life-limiting illness qualify and will prefer to receive hospice services in the privacy and comfort of familiar surroundings at home. Hospice care is a service that transcends locations and can be provided at any site that meets the necessary criteria set by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, including a private home setting.
